چکیده
Abstract The present research was carried out with the objectives of isolating fungal strains capable exhibiting inulinase activity from a novel source, then optimizing solid state fermentation for production and characterizing crude enzyme. Production is first reported in this study substrate, banana plant shoot powder, using newly isolated strain Nothophoma anigozanthi JAM through fermentation. root soil white Jamun ( Syzygium cumini ) tree. Optimization by central composite design determining interaction impact influential process on production. A mathematical model developed based statistical analysis recommended optimal conditions 2 g 5 mL moistening media, inoculum volume, 96 h time enhanced (2.578 U/gds). Crude enzyme exhibited an 8.0-fold increase after optimization, comparison under unoptimized conditions. optimum pH (5.0), temperature (60 °C) activity, K m (0.205 mM) V max (0.333 µM/min) were determined biochemical inulin hydrolytic properties further validated TLC, osazone, Seliwanoff tests. Hence, produced can be successfully utilized edible sugar fructose non-edible polysaccharide inulin, agricultural residues such as

Solid State Fermentation for Production of Chitosan by Aspergillus Niger
The effect of Solid State Fermentation (SSF) on Chitosan production by A. niger was investigated. A. niger BBRC 20004 from Biochemical and Bioenvironmental Research Centre of Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, Iran), was grown on corn residue. Chitosan was extracted from the fungal mycelia using hot alkaline and acid treatment. A. niger was incubated for 12 days on corn residue with moist...
متن کاملSolid state fermentation of agricultural wastes for endoglucanase production
The lignocellulosic biomass (especially agricultural wastes) is known to be an excellent carbon source for microbial enzyme production. In this paper, the cellulase production from lignocellulosic materials under solid state fermentation (SSF) was investigated. The effects of fermentation conditions, such as moisture content, initial pH, temperature, and composition of mixed substrate (wheat st...
متن کاملEnhanced inulinase production by Streptomyces sp. in solid state fermentation through statistical designs
In this work, inulinase was produced by solid state fermentation by Streptomyces sp. using copra waste as carbon source. The nutrients were screened by Plackett-Burman design. From the pareto chart it was found that the nutrients, namely, soya bean cake, MgSO4·7H2O and (NH4)2SO4 were found to be most significant nutrient components. Hence, these three components were selected for further optimi...
متن کاملOptimization of Inulinase Production from Garlic by Streptomyces sp. in Solid State Fermentation Using Statistical Designs
Plackett-Burman design was employed for screening 18 nutrient components for the production of inulinase using Garlic as substrate by Streptomyces sp. in solid-state fermentation (SSF). From the experiments, 4 nutrients, namely, NH(4)NO(3), MnSO(4)·7H(2)O, Soya bean cake, and K(2)HPO(4) were found to be most significant nutrient components. Hence, these 4 components are selected. The selected c...
متن کاملProduction of Bacterial - Xylanolytic Enzyme using Agricultural Waste by Solid State Fermentation
Xylanases (E.C.3.2.1.8) are key enzymes, which play an important role in the breakdown of xylan. Wheat bran and corn cob are a rich source of xylan (28%) and xylose (23%). Therefore these are attractive substrates for production of xylanase & ßxylosidase enzyme. Xylan, a major component of hemicelluloses, is a heterogeneous polysaccharides consisting of ß-1, 4 linked to D-xylosyl residues on th...
